Sense of Pride is a program designed to teach 4th graders in the Bristol Warren Regional School District about their towns. First introduced in a single classroom in Bristol in 2000, it is now implemented in every 4th grade classroom in the district. Over the years, the program’s focus on architecture and the built environment also expanded to include presentations on local history and the ecology of surrounding waters.

Rhode Island’s adoption of new Social Studies Standards in 2023 prompted Mosaico to reimagine Sense of Pride to align more closely to the new standards. Popular elements like the downtown walking tour continue, alongside new geography based map sessions, and an increased focus on civic education.

Sense of Pride is funded through grants and sponsorships. Please consider supporting this innovative and impactful educational program by making a donation today!
